San Diego County Deputy Reishone Foster Dragged Elisa Serna During A Seizure
Deputy Reishone Foster played a role in Elisa Serna’s tragic fate. At some point during Elisa’s custody, Foster reportedly dragged her to her cell by her wrists while Serna was nearly unconscious. Shockingly, Foster did not summon medical care for Serna at that critical moment.

On November 11, 2019, Elisa Serna experienced a medical emergency while in custody. She pressed the call button twice, first at 3:01 pm and again at 3:27 pm, but received no immediate help. During the second call, she began seizing while sitting on the toilet. Despite being close to her cell, deputies and medical staff took a minute to respond. Nurse Lorna Roque, another nurse, and two deputies attended to her briefly, logging only one vital sign. They left at 3:35 pm without calling 9-1-1. Dr. Friederike Von Lintig, notified of Elisa’s condition, chose not to check on her in person, doubting the severity of her seizures. Elisa died approximately 4.5 hours later.
